A connection I have found between the assignments, mental math quiz, problem solving with percent, and solving mixed equations practice is that they all require communication, critical thinking, and mental math as well as problem solving abilities. This extends my thinking as it can become simpler to do these questions as I practice and have more exposure to them. The challenge is getting ideas of how these mental math problems can be done correctly.
